Collaboration between Jordan and Egypt with the Israeli company Israel Natural Gas Lines, a key player in the gas supply chain of Israel
Israel Natural Gas Lines is an Israeli company active in the gas sector, as part of the Israeli oil and gas supply chain. Israel Natural Gas Lines Co. is a state-owned enterprise established in 2003 to create and operate a natural gas pipeline network, facilitating compressed gas transfer across Israel via a national network [1].

Collaboration with Egypt
According to reports published in 2022, Egypt receives five billion cubic meters of gas from Israel through the EMG pipeline, which runs from Ashkelon to El Arish in Sinai. The agreement also includes an annual increase of 2.5 to 3 billion cubic meters in Egypt’s imports. Current reports indicate that this additional gas export brings an annual income of 100 million shekels to Israel Natural Gas Lines, a state-owned gas transmission company [2].

The official website of the Israeli government also reported on this, mentioning that gas transmission began in February 2022 and would yield more than 100 million shekels (approximately $28 million) annually for Israel Natural Gas Lines.

In 2023, the Israeli cabinet approved a plan to expand gas infrastructure to Egypt [4]. The new Ramat Hovav-Ashalim-Nitsana pipeline, extending 65 kilometers, will supply an additional six billion cubic meters of natural gas annually to Egypt. This additional export is expected to generate 200 million shekels annually for Israel Natural Gas Lines and bring in hundreds of millions of shekels in royalties and taxes to the government.

Collaboration with Jordan
The company’s website states [5]:
“In 2017-2019, Israel Natural Gas Lines constructed two pipelines to export natural gas to Jordan. These pipelines connect the southern Dead Sea industrial plants in Jordan with Israel’s gas transmission system.”
